I got to my room and my phone rang, it was Amo… Me:” Amogelang.” Him:” Hebana!” Me:” Talk I don’t have time to spare.” I was just having a bad night, first I broke Tebo’s heart and I come home to a grumpy mother and then I receive a call from Amo, he rubs me off in a bad way. We just don’t vibe, we have our moments yes but at this very moment we’re definitely not vibing. Him:” O-kay… Did I catch you at a bad time?” Me:” Yes!!!” I rolled my eyes. Him:” Look Zara I have done nothing but be kind to you, kodwa ke you always throw my kindness back in my face. You have no-one at your corner right now but me. You’re nice to me when it suits you and I always have to dance to your tune. You need to wake up and smell the coffee or else you’ll lose me as a friend or whatever you consider me to be in your life. Call me you’re ready to talk!” He hung up.

(Message Alert: Tebo) Him: Please spare me your pity, I have enough friends to last me a decade so you can shove your friendship where the sun does not shine. Please cease all contact with me, at school or over the phone. I will respect your decision but please respect mine too. Consider yourself blocked in all aspects…

After reading Tebo’s text, I just sat on my bed defeated. A tear escaped my eye, honestly is the best policy right? No, it’s not. I just lost the most genuine person in my life right now. Out of everyone else, Tebo has to be the most realist person ever. He doesn’t pretend to be something his not and his always been one hundred with me. To add to my grief, I have Amo who just dropped a bombshell on me. Am I really that much of a bad person? I didn’t do anything to any of the guys in my life, Sands is a douche, Tebo is a guy in love but I don’t feel the same way and then there is Amo, well I don’t know what’s his deal. And in a matter of seconds I’ve lost them all. * * * Tebo: Never have I ever been so torn apart, I really love Zee and I don’t think I can accept being just friends with her. That will only torture me because I’ll have to go through everything with her, when she finally gets a boyfriend I’m going to have to be there to celebrate with her, when things go south with that guy she’ll confide in me and I’m going to have to offer her my shoulder to cry on. Anything and everything that includes a guy I’m going to have to be there for her as a friend which is sad. I can’t put myself in that situation, it will not be fair on me. I know she means well and that she was just being honest about how she feels about me but I just can’t look past the love I have for her. “You look like a mess.” Me:” Please don’t start Rato…” Rato is my baby sister full name Lerato, she’s doing grade 9 at Pretoria Girls-High. She is a typical teenager and always up in my business. I also have a big brother who is in Varsity doing his second year studying BCom: Entrepreneurial Management. He comes during recess. His name is Mpho. Rato:” Ho etsahalang?” Me:” Rato lay off please, I’m not in the mood today!” I snapped. Rato:” Geez! No need for you to bite my head off. I’ll leave you to it.”

She left and went to the lounge. I just decided to call my brother, he always knows how help in such situations.

(Dialed Mpho)

Him:” Mfanaka.” Me:” di tsang?” Him:” Spani, what else?” Me:” Mfana, ke na le bothata… eish.” Him:” (Chuckles) why am I not surprised?” Me:” Ngoanana e mpha bothata saan…” Him:” I never took you to have problems in that department?” Me:” Thing is with this one it’s all different, I mean, ke mo ratile sekolong sa mathomo.” Him:” It’s that bad huh?” Me:” You have no idea… She friend zoned me after 4 weeks of expressing my undying love for her. She broke me…” Him:”U bolela ho mpolella hore u apere pelo ea hau ka letsoho la hao?” Me:” Yes mfana, I had to.” Him:” u hloka kelello saan.” Me:” Don’t say that man, I’m really in love with this girl and she doesn’t feel the same way.” Sigh. Him:” Bona mfana, I’ll be on recess soon and when I get home I’ll teach you the tricks of the trade. Khaotsa ho fokola hobane banana ba tla etsa hore hlooho ea hau e be sebaka sa bona sa lipapali. As far as your mystery girl is concerned, she probably doesn’t see you as a man. Girls want men, not boys.” Me:” What are you saying Mpho?” Him:” What I’m saying is that change your game and you’ll see… Look have to go but nahana ka seo ke se buileng.” Me:” Sho.”

My big bro is speaking a lot of sense right now. Could it be that Zee sees me as a mere boy instead of a man? Am I not man enough for her? I’m really confused, I don’t know whether or not I should continue pursuing her… * * * Zee

Another one We The Best music DJ Khaled

[Rihanna:] I don't know if you could take it Know you wanna see me nakey, nakey, naked I wanna be your baby, baby, baby Spinning and it's wet just like it came from Maytag White girl wasted on that brown liquor When I get like this I can't be around you I'm too lit to dim down a notch 'Cause I could name some thangs that I'm gon' do

I don’t know what time it is but that was my ringtone and it was so damn loud, at first I ignored it but it rang again, clearly whoever is calling is not going to stop. I just answered without checking the caller ID.

Me:” What?” Voice:” I’m sorry to wake you up at this…” Me:” Who’s this?” Honestly I was lazy to check the caller ID, I was positioned in a very awkward way on the bed, keeping the phone on my ear was a workout on its own. Voice:” its Sands…” Me:” Oh, goodnig…” Him:” Please don’t hang up?” Me:” Did you check the time mara?” Him:” I did and I’m sorry, the thing is I’ve been contemplating calling you ever since I got home and…” Me:” And that’s my problem because?” Him:” Zee please don’t be like that.” I stood up and sat on my butt, I checked the time and it was 01:20 AM. Me:” Look Sandile you shouldn’t be calling people at this time. If you’re bored or need to get something off your chest call your girlfriend I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to receive a call from you.” Him:” But I…” Me:” I want to sleep, goodnight!” I hung up. He needs to decide what he wants, I don’t have time for his bullshit. I went to the loo and did my business after I was done, I went right back into bed, I was really tired so in minutes I was out.
