We bought our food and Kea followed me to where the girls and I usually sit. On our way we were talking about her and why she’s such a nerd, I mean, I get good grades, excellent ones in fact but I’m not a nerd. I live my life, well more like balance everything out but you don't see me being a front rower. As we were approaching the ladies, I had a mini-heart attack. A part of me wanted to turn and walk away, another wanted to cause a scene. This is not happening, no… Zee you have to play this one off. Me:” Ladies!!!” I faked a small. Them:” Hey!!!!” Me:” Sands.” He just nodded and looked away. They were so happy to see me. Livia came to hug me and Lindo jumped up from Sands’ lap and hugged me as well. Yes, she was sitting on top of him and it seems like they were flirting or something because Lindo was blushing like crazy. Me:” I’m back and I’d like for you meet Keabetswe.” Kea:” Hello… Hi” Livia:” Hello dear, nice to meet you.” Lindo:” Same here, so Zee you’ve substituted me with Kea? It’s okay if I call you Kea right?” Kea:” Yes, of course.” She smiled. Me:” I can never, you’re my best friend. You and I go way back.” Lindo:” Good.” She grinned. Lindo went to sit on Sands’ lap, that infuriated me and Sands was just cool with everything and continued flirting with her in front me. Not once did he even look at me or say anything. Instead, he was busy kissing her and whispering sweet somethings in her ear judging from the way she was giggling. How could he do me like this? Lindo:” So Zee… Did you hear the most amazing news?” Me:” No but I’m sure you’re going to tell me…” I faked a smile. God knows how much I wanted to roll my eyes and give her attitude but maybe she doesn’t know anything about me and Sands, so who am I to treat her like trash? She’s happy, I don’t know when last I saw her this happy, so I’ll let her bask in her glory. Lindo:” Well Sands here asked me to be his Valentine.” She had a huge smile. Me:” You don’t say?” I eyed Sands. Lindo:” Yes! We’re dating so that one was a given.” She laughed. I almost choked on my saliva after she said “we’re dating.” That came as a shock and I couldn’t even pretend to be happy for her because I was heartbroken, yet again. Me:” Uhm… Look I need to… Guy… yeah I have to meet up with this guy… Tebo, yes Tebo. Lindo we’ll talk about your amazing news. Kea will you be fine with them?” Kea:” Yeah, I’ll get you in class.” Me:” Yes… class… definitely! Sorry guys.” I rushed off with tears in my eyes. I didn’t want them to see me crying, they were going to ask me a lot of questions which I was not going to be able to answer. Lindo:” And that?” Livia:” I don’t know. Sands do you know something?” Him:” Beats me, she’s been through a lot with her fam. It’s probably that.” Lindo:” Oh honey you’re such a good friend to her. Tell me again why you didn’t tell her that we’re dating? She looked rather surprised as soon as I mentioned it.” Him:” Uhm… I did, I swear I did. Unless she didn’t take me serious because she knows you and your taste in men…” He shrugged his shoulders. Lindo:” You could be right… She does know me…”

Narrated: Break was 30 minutes long, Lindo, Sands, Livia and Kea talked about anything and everything. Kea warmed up to them pretty quick, it was like she knew them since forever. Sands was scared that he has lost Zee before he even had her and was afraid of what might be going on through her mind at the moment, it is at this very moment that he wished he had come clean to Zee about him dating Lindo.

Zee: I went to Tebo’s class, because that’s where he usually chills during break. My tears were all dried up when got there but I was still down, pretty much. I stood by the door and waved at him, he smiled as soon as he saw me and walked up to me. Him:” I was starting to think I was not going to see you today. Thought you had forgotten about me.” He faked a frown. Me:” I can never. You are my Tebo after all.” I playfully punched his chest. Him:” Of course I am. So welcome back.” He smiled. He pulled me in for a hug. I almost broke down in his embrace but I fought my tears back. Me:” Thank you. I missed seeing your chocolate yourself and your sexiness of course.” I winked at him. Him:” Ain’t we naughty?” He smirked. Me:” Nothing like that hau, I just missed you that’s all.” I looked down. Him:” You missed me that bad?” Me:” You can say that.” Him:” Come on, look at me.” He lifted my chin so that I can face him, Tears welled up in my eyes. I was just too hurt, I couldn’t hold them in anymore. They just rolled down my cheeks, I didn’t sob, I didn’t sniff, they just grazed my cheeks and I was defeated. I really thought I had a chance with Sands. He played me for a fool I guess. Him:” What’s wrong? Are okay?” He looked concerned. Me:” I’ll be fine. I have to go, I just came to say hi and that I missed you.” I looked down. Him:” You’re not going anywhere until you tell me what’s wrong.” Me:” Look this was a mistake, I have to go.”

As I was about to walk away, he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him and kissed me. I wanted to push him away but it felt so good, the chemistry was amazing and damn! His an AMAZING kisser. After a while he pulled away and held me by the waist, he looked at me straight in the eyes… Him:” I love you and I’ll wait for you.” Before I could respond to what he said, the siren went signalling the end of break. Talk about perfect timing, honestly I didn’t know how to respond to that. Me:” Uhm… See you around Tebo. Greet T’bose for me.” Walking away from him gave me a sense of relief. Why did he have to kiss me? He just complicated my life and things between us. I honestly don’t want to break his heart and also, I don’t want to lose him as a friend.
